"Inside Westfield Stratford City: Europe's largest shopping centre"

Girls, the wait is over!

For all those ladies who live and work in East London, who have been forced to endure the tough journey across London to shop at Westfield Shepherd's Bush for the last 3 years, the sister shopping mall, Westfield Stratford City, Europe´s largest urban shopping centre, is now officially open.

Girls cannot live on discount sales and boutique fashion alone, though. They need sustenance to keep their mind about whilst out on a hunt. And Westfield Stratford City mall has got you covered in that respect, offering almost a carbon copy of the bars and restaurants at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush in West London, but with a few new surprises thrown in for good measure.

Popular celebrities like Nicole Scherzinger and actress Kelly Brook helped launch Westfield Stratford City.

All your favorite chain restaurants are present: Italian in the form of  Strada and Pizza Express; Nando’s and GBK for the meat lovers; Giraffe and TGI Friday’s for families; whilst Las Iguanas, The Reel Greek, Wagamama and Balans offer an eclectic taste of worldly cuisines.

For a shopping mall that lies just yards from the Olympic Park in East London, it seems only right to have many of the world’s cuisines represented: Comptoir Libanais (Lebanese); Jom Makam (Malaysian); Wahaca (Mexican); and good old Blighty itself thanks to the rustic Bumpkin and The Cow pub. Of course, no giant mall would be complete without a Jamie getting involved somehow too, which is why Jamie’s Italian restaurant has set up shop at the mall.

For the boys who aren’t keen on shopping but still want to check out the Westfield Stratford City mall with their loved ones, you can spend your afternoons downing beers from the hundreds to choose from at Tap East, or sipping cocktails and throwing bowling balls down shiny lanes at All Star Lanes.

The £1.45bn complex houses more than 300 shops, 70 restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, three hotels, a bowling alley and the UK's largest casino.
